Much like everyone else around this town I think Hawkins has to go now. Not because he is a bad coach (he’s probably not a good coach), but because it’s just time. People need to see a new face wandering the sidelines. He’s on borrowed time now, he’s just a dead man walking. Do us all a favor and remove the fog that is surrounding this program.
It’s all just a waiting game…
And there are 2 things that I’d like to bring to attention.
While Buff fans couldn’t watch, only listen to the epic fail that was happening in Lawerence over the weekend nobody else noticed. Scoring 42 points in the 4th quarter hasn’t been done in nearly a century, and did you see it on Sportcenter or ESPN? Nope. It didn’t even make headlines, of ESPN College Football. So while the ’90 square miles surrounded by reality’ are up in arms over the coach, nobody outside the box seems to care, or even notice.
That brings me to my next point. As brought up to me earlier today by my good friend Brett Weibel, in the first press conference Dan Hawkins ever had here at the University of Colorado he said, “This program was burned to the ground”. In what state is it now sir?
It was on SportsCenter but it had shoddy highlights so they probably didn't want to show it many times due to poor quality video.
