The Black Eyed Peas had it right when they said ‘Where is the Love?’
Obviously they weren’t talking about the Denver Nuggets and the lack of attention they are getting for being a great Team. But they should have been.
Coming out of the All-Star break getting tragic news that the beloved Coach Karl has throat cancer there could have been a letdown. But the little Nuggets went into Cleveland, who only lost twice on their home court last year, to play the highly touted (by the media) Lebron and the Cavs. The Nuggs simply won on a buzzer beater by Carmelo.
And today when the headline should have read ‘Melo Sends NBA a Message’ it was about how the Cavs lost. Um…. We beat the “BEST” team in the NBA on the road, and we still get no love. All they could talk about was how Lebron went for a triple double; they couldn’t find time to slip in that he lost so those number don’t matter.
The medium market Nuggets get no love, but they give no love as well.
